Scott Ashmore

With 30 years of construction experience, Scott started his career in road work construction during the summer of 1991. Scott Graduated from Iowa State University in December 1993, and began full-time employment in the construction industry during Spring 1994 as a crew supervisor and later as a project superintendent. In 1998, he began working in a project management role with a focus on concrete paving and concrete production. From 2004 to 2012, Scott was the Concrete Division Manager for a large Heavy Civil contractor with projects, crews, and portable high volume concrete batch plants operating in multiple states. From 2012 to 2018, Scott became the Houston Area Division Manager for the large Heavy Civil contractor with multiple projects contracted with a variety of public entities:  Texas Department of Transportation, Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority, Harris County Toll Road Authority, Houston Airport System, Harris County, Harris County Flood Control District, NASA JSC, and San Jacinto River Authority.

Mika Lawson

Mika began her construction career in 1988, working at a wood roof truss manufacturing facility in South Florida. While there, she earned an Associates Degree in Building Construction from Palm Beach Community College. She later graduated with a BS in Construction Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Teaneck, NJ. In 1994, Mika moved to Southern California where she began working as a Project Engineer for a Design/Build Contractor focusing solely on Concrete Tilt-Up Construction. From 1996 to 2002, she worked as a Project Manager in the commercial construction industry building churches, schools, retail and industrial facilities. In 2002, Mika shifted into the Heavy Highway Construction sector, where she served as a Project Manager, Estimator & later Chief Estimator for Houston Heavy Civil Division. In 2016, she co-founded Colt Concrete Industries.

John Genet

John began his career in Concrete prefabrications in 1990 where he was responsible for managing day-to-day operations, preparing estimates, and negotiating budgets with clients. From 1999 to 2006, John served as an Owner and Operations Manager, developing numerous subdivisions, infrastructure and road projects. In 2007, John began working for a large Heavy Civil contractor where he held the roles of a Plant Operations Division Manager and a Paving Project Manager/Superintendent where he actively oversaw trucks and truck drivers for concrete delivery, coordinated plant locations, set up traffic controls for pours, and oversaw mix designs to ensure quality of products. In 2016, John co-founded Colt Concrete Industries.
